In the first poll conducted for House District 52, Democrat Jimmy Talarico led his opponents by one point! Currently held by Republican Larry Gonzales, this is big news for progressives eyeing to take the seat back. In the same poll, Donald Trump scored a meager 40% favorability rating and Ted Cruz trailed at 33%.
Talarico is a Round Rock native, a former public school teacher, and the Central Texas Executive Director of a nonprofit that provides innovative technology to thousands of students. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University.
Short-sighted decisions at the State Capitol hurt middle class families in Williamson County. Families are paying more for less – for our schools, for our roads, and for our healthcare. From Round Rock to Taylor, Talarico is committed to getting state government back to basics.
